At The Packaging Butler, we provide prep, packaging, and fulfillment services. Due to the nature of these services, our return and refund policy differs from traditional retail businesses.


Service-Based Policy

All services provided by The Packaging Butler are custom, labor-based services performed according to client instructions and platform requirements (Amazon, Etsy, eBay, direct-to-customer, corporate, and non-profit events).

As a result, services rendered are non-refundable once work has begun.


Returns

We do not accept returns on services already performed, including but not limited to:

  • Amazon FBA prep services

  • Labeling or relabeling

  • Poly bagging

  • Bubble wrapping or fragile prep

  • Bundling or kitting

  • Carton packing

  • Event or corporate packaging

Physical inventory remains the property of the client at all times.


Refunds

Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:

  • A verified error caused directly by The Packaging Butler

  • Services were charged but not performed

  • Duplicate billing due to a system or administrative error

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Amazon fees, penalties, or rejections

  • Delays caused by Amazon, carriers, or third parties

  • Issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete client instructions

  • Platform policy changes (Amazon, Etsy, eBay, etc.)

  • Items received damaged from suppliers or manufacturers

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.


Cancellations

  • Orders or services canceled before work begins may be eligible for a partial refund, excluding any administrative or receiving fees already incurred.

  • Once inventory has been received, inspected, or prepped, cancellation is no longer eligible for a refund.


Client-Supplied Inventory

Clients are responsible for the condition and compliance of their inventory upon arrival. The Packaging Butler is not responsible for:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Product recalls

  • Restricted or prohibited items

  • Items that fail Amazon or marketplace compliance due to product design or content


Shipping & Carrier Issues

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Carrier delays or lost shipments

  • Amazon check-in delays

  • Damage occurring during carrier transit

Shipping claims must be handled directly with the carrier or platform.


Event, Corporate & Non-Profit Services

Custom event packaging, gift wrapping, and kitting services are non-refundable once materials are purchased or work has begun, due to the customized nature of these services.


Dispute Resolution

If you believe an error has occurred, please contact us within 48 hours of service completion with:

  • Order details

  • Description of the issue

  • Supporting documentation (photos, shipment ID, etc.)

We are committed to reviewing concerns promptly and fairly.
